Speer Lawman ammo is some of the best practice ammo
available, particularly for users of Gold Dot jacketed hollow points. Like
other Lawman rounds, this .45 ACP load is designed to have the exact same
shooting characteristics as its corresponding Gold Dot cartridge. This makes practicing
with your carry ammo a breeze, rather than a garden path to bankruptcy! These
.45 Auto rounds use a typical 230-grain full metal jacket and achieve a muzzle
velocity of 845 feet per second. Each cartridge in this box of 50 uses
Boxer-primed brass casings.
Note that this load uses a total metal jacket, which costs
less to produce and reduces potential lead exposure but will not function well
in ported barrels.
Speer is one of the leading brands of defense ammunition for
law enforcement officers. The company’s Gold Dot rounds have found favor with
numerous police departments including the NYPD. The company was founded in 1944
by Vernon Speer, whose brother Richard founded CCI nearby. Both companies
continue to operate in their original Lewiston, Idaho locations as divisions of
Alliant Techsystems.

Shoots fairly accurately, definitely better than GECO ammo. When shooting 7 rounds of each, I get about a 2.5″ group at 10 yards with this ammo, or a 4″ group with the GECO ammo.

Fast, reliable shipping. Always shows up in good shape. Highly recommend purchasing from bulkammo.com and will do so myself in the future. The Lawman ammo works great in all of my guns – both .45 and 9mm. I have a 9mm that won’t cycle well with many ammo brands, but Lawman has had no issues with over 500 rounds through the gun.

…But Lawman 45 ACP is loaded with SMALL Pistol primers and most all the others I shoot are LARGE p.p.
Real headache because I tossed 400 of these into a bucket with about 800 other LPP cases. Got to look at every one and sort them at my reloading bench. Just a heads up reloaders. No other complaints. Ammo is reliable & consistant.

Bought 1000 rounds. Bullets have a flat point in lieu of typical round points on 45 ACP. This resulted in feed problems. Rounds jammed do to flat edge sticking on feed ramp. Problem especially prevalent in Rugers. Would never spend money on this ammo again. Still have 800 rounds to struggle with
