This .380 ACP ammo should be considered as a very serious contender for your single cartridge purchase for all uses in .380 Auto. It is equally at home as a self-defense round as it is at the range for practice.
The incredibly low priced round is a welcome respite to high priced self-defense rounds and shoots more like a premium personal defense round than it does a range practice round, to which it is priced in a substantially similar way. The 90 grain projectile is a JHP that offers excellent penetration and ballistics comparable to the finest performers in the field of duty type .380 Auto cartridges.
Achieving 975 feet per second at bore exit and delivering nearly 200 ft. lbs. of energy (above 190 consistently), means this performs in a tight range comparatively to other premium defense rounds in .380.
Clean powder burn and premium brass are just a couple of reasons why Fiocchi has made such a huge impression on the U.S. market since its arrival on the scene. The most recent iterations of the Fiocchi ammunition line have been truly spectacular once you factor in the value pricing across the board.
This is a great performing load and is usable in all .380 ACP firearms.

I have run 200 rounds through my Ruger LCP as fast as I could, (with out cleaning the pistol) without a mis fire or mis feed.
This Ammo is a welcome alternative to the expensive overpriced “Personal Defense” JHP ammo from other brands, and the risk pass through and co-latteral damage is very low.

Personally tested this ammo through 10% ClearBallistic gelatin according to protocols set forth by Marshall and Sanow in their book, Handgun Stopping Power. Test pistol was Glock 43. Outside temperature 42 F. In the bare gel test at 10 feet, the round performed well. Marshall and Sanow point out that you can expect bullet penetration to be deeper in living tissue than in 10% gel by about 15-20% and thus you want penetration in gel of a minimum of 11 inches and a max of about 14. The Fiocchi round penetrated to about 12 inches and expanded nicely. In the denim test (4 layers of Wrangler blue jeans), the hollow point cavity plugged with denim and penetrated the entire block (standard FBI block of 16 inches). This over penetration is definitely cause for concern from a legal point of view. However, the round never experienced any malfunctions. Due to over penetration in denim, I wouldn’t recommend it. This bullet is the XTP bullet also loaded by Hornady, Precision One, and HPR. You will get different performance based on who loads the round despite the bullet being the same.

Received the product rather quickly and the product lived up-to the previous reviews. Fired all with NO misfires or jamming. I will definitely purchase again with no remorse.
