It’s always a good idea to feed
some hollow points through your gun to make sure it can handle them properly.
This affordable JHP ammunition in .40 S&W from PMC can help you do just
that. Each 165 grain jacketed hollow point leaves the muzzle at 1040 feet per
second, a higher than average velocity achieved through the use of the lighter
bullet. This ammo comes in 50-round boxes with Boxer-primed reloadable brass
cases.
While this round will exhibit
much better expansion in a self-defense situation than an FMJ round, CCW
holders may find PMC’s Starfire advanced line of premium hollow points
preferable for daily carry.
PMC, a brand of the Poongsan Corporation,
is a widely recognized symbol of quality and affordability across the US.
Widely available due to Poongsan’s extraordinary manufacturing capacity as a
supplier for the South Korean army, PMC ammo is built from in-house components
and subjected to rigorous quality control checks to ensure consistency.

Grab it if you can. Other sources are overpricing this, but bulkammo is awesome! It performs great in both my XD40, P229, and CX4. Support PMC as they seem to be one of those companies that are helping support a need in the market with quality and decent pricing.

I bought them as I needed more JHP rounds, considering the market at the time was up charging a lot of the reliable defensive ammo out there. I decided to buy five boxes worth to see if they were viable to use. Cannot say I have anything against them, ran through 150 rounds during a range trip without any stoppage and their accuracy was remarkable too. When times are hard, you can still count on PMC to keep you standing.

This is great affordable ammunition for sure. I ordered 200 rounds of this a while back and it runs great in my XD 40 compact. I’ve even done some ballistic testing and the results were pretty impressive for regular hollow points. Pretty consistent velocities out of the 2.5 inch barrel and pretty good and consistent expansion. I would definitely trust this for EDC but ovcourse I’ll stick with my Hydra shoks for now.
