jam alot in a marlin model 60
ar15 –
bought my ammo from a box store. 2 rounds jammed out of 30 rounds.
Scott –
Leaves a lot of lead residue in barrel. If you’re just shooting a few rounds, probably fine. If you do a 100 or more rounds, you’ll spend more time cleaning than at the range.
scoot –
worked fine in my marlin and ruger, not my mp1522, a few jams over 500 shots. at 100 yds all over the place.
NimrodJim –
A lot of lead left in rifle barrel, lots of repeated cleaning when firing several shells. Hard time hitting a one gallon container at 100 yards, don’t have this problem with Stinger. But for just plinking around with my Browning BL-122 lever action (Japenese) it works OK. Hard to beat the price.

Great ammo !!! Very reliable!!
Bob –
Like the summary review says, it’s the only ammo that works perfectly in my Jimenez ja 22. Glad they make thunderbolt.
Antisixx3 –
Not if you depend on it for protection. Rabbits OK since I can beat most of them up in case of a jam.
2hand –
2 out 10, misfire and/or FTL/FTE in my Buck Mark. Many stovepipes. Works okay in bolt action single shot rifles for plinking.

I have been shotting thunderbolts for ever on 3 of my Marlin model 60’s and now on my Mossberg 715T and it works evry weell for me. Sure is hard to find compared to the Federal and Winchester
Lost Burro –
Firearm: Ruger 22/45 Mark III, Model 10119.
30 failures in 100 rounds. Failure to feed, failure to eject, failure to fire. Noticeable sound difference between the rounds. As if little, or no, powder in the cases.
I threw the rest away.
As a same firearm comparison, 1 (one) failure out of 500 rounds of Federal Champion bulk ammo and 2 failures out of 500 rounds of Winchester bulk ammo.
I wouldn’t even shoot this stuff out of my Model 510. And it’s a Remington!
Raildick –
Not very reliable from my 10-22
Very inconsistent from round to round
Price is competitive for low end ammo, but you get what you pay for!

Shot 200 rounds without any jam .Very dirty” yes, very
Local RSO at the range. –
I bought this brand of 22LR to save the better quality ammo that I usually shoot (CCI Mini Mags). I was apprehensive based on other reviews from this site.. I had other shooters try a few rounds at the range I work at and they had problems. It would not eject or work all the semi-autos it was shot in and it was dirty. It was, however, accurate.
There was one exception, my Sig 522. It shot flawlessly without a singe misfire, FTE or FTF. That particular firearm is know for being able to shoot any brand of ammo with a glitch. Clean up was easy and did not take any more time than usual.
The bottom line here is that if you have the same firearm, buy some and have fun.
Farmer –
have had a lot of misfires and poor accuracy out of these, will be going back to CCI.

I’ve only shot a few as of today with no issues in a Mossberg 702. Seems like a great value thus far especially since 22LR ammo is so hard to find right now. No, it’s not the best ammo, but as you know, you get what you pay for.
What I’m impressed with most is Bulk Ammo’s service. Quick processing, follow up, and shipping. I received at the doorstep within three days of the order. I will definitely be ordering again.

Not just their Thunderbolt ammo that I have shot for over 20 years, but even their 36 and 40 grain Golden Bullet line are horrible for consistency. Some rounds sound like hyper velocity and others sound like .22 short ammo. Their Golden Bullets bullet itself is probably the highest quality projectile in the .22 world but it’s a shame their powder measurements are so far off.

I thought I had a deal with stuff. Used it in my Colt Gold Cup 1911 22. Had problems with casings sticking in chamber. When I started to clean the barrel the brush got stuck – and I mean really stuck. Had to use a .17 brush and Chore Boy for hours until the barrel was clear and clean. Was about to toss the remaining shells when my nephew insisted he would use them up in his Ruger. Same thing happened to him.
Patgarrett –
Its about the only cheap ammo that my Mosquito will fire without jams. They eject fine, just the odd one I will have to pull the hammer back and fire it again.
JP-Plinker –
Just last weekend I shot over 250 rounds in one outing at the range through my Walther P22. No misfires and no jambs outside of my own mistakes on my first outing with this pistol. Yes, it’s a bit dirty, but I cleaned my pistol afterwards and I would purchase it again. Granted it was only 5 yards, but it was very accurate at that range. I had a very tight distribution off close to 50 rounds with no random misses at the target. I will continue to shoot this for target practice until I have a reason not to.

Run these in 3 different ruger mk models with no issues other than a few duds every now and then. These are my go to brand for plinking. I wouldn’t reccomend them for hunting purposes but its pretty good.
Students –
Bought these for ladies firearms class. Work great
tbow –
Works great for plinking, I have shot aprox 1000 rounds with no trouble, im not sure how they would be for hunting , they don’t seem as “hot” as the “Rem. golden Bullitt”
PT –
Ive shot around 400 rounds of this ammo through my Henry and ive had no issues with it. The people complaining that its “dirty” must also paint their nails before they go shooting. I had no more carbon build up than what was expected. 1 in about 30 rounds youll notice one wasnt as “hot” as the others but it still performs good. Ive shot these at 25 50 75 and 100 yds with no issues.

This is the filthiest ammo I’ve ever used. I expected some buildup, but this was nuts. Like one other reviewer stated I could barely get the brush through the barrel….and no, I’m not a new shooter. If I run more than 150 rds thru my Ruger Mark IV Lite with this stuff it takes me an hour to get the crap out of the barrel. I have 3 boxes sitting unused if anyone wants to buy it…cheap.
Ernest –
Works great. Waiting for another box of 500, thanks. It’s rating to me is No. 1, Right now.

I’ve owned this Charter Arms rendition of the AR7 fold-away survival rifle since the early ’80s. While I don’t shoot it much, I seem to recall that it was the only round (at the time) that would cycle through it without any significant stoppage issues.
A unique circumstance, no doubt, but I thought that I’d add my 2 cents here on that one.

This ammo is awesome glad I bought it shoots flawlessly the my Browning Buckmark great value worth every penny!
