This brand new mil-spec ammo can is designed to contain 50 Cal rounds for the M2A1. Even if you don’t own an 84 pound heavy machine gun that can fire 600 rounds per minute (consider getting one — such a firearm is very effective at hunting hundreds of deer at once), you’ll still find this ammo can very handy: It will also hold 3,500 22 LR, 1,000 9mm, or 700 223 Rem rounds with ease.
This can is made of tough steel, and is green like so many mil-spec things tend to be. It sports a metal carry handle, which we have ascertained can withstand carrying even the heaviest of loads, and its hinge is well-made and ready to do its job repeatedly without failing. This can’s latch seals its lid tightly, so you needn’t worry about moisture or dust contaminating your valuable ammo while you’re storing it long-term or transporting it through the rugged wilderness. A great ammo can like this one is a must for any shooting enthusiast, and you simply can never have too many!
00Buck –
I bought a few of these and they work great. I have 1000 rounds of .223 (in boxes) in one of them and I have 200 rounds of 12 gauge 00 Buck in another.
Dave –
Ordered two of these…cans were in beautiful condition….seal was brand new…..will be buying from here when I need more!!
Mick –
perfect condition. solid can. holds 900 rounds of boxed 40 cal. will be buying more of these for the rest of my stash.
Geoff –
Can was freshly painted with a new rubber seal, no dents.
Snatural50 –
Brand new. Gaskets perfect.
Tony –
Well worth the money. Why buy used, when for a few more bucks you can start with a new Mil Spec Ammo can. My four cans came in one large box that had been packed for protection. Delivery was fast, the cans were in perfect condition.
I wish Bulk Ammo had the next larger size ammo cans!
I will purchase the M2A1 cans again!
Rocko –
Ordered 12 of these…came packaged professionally…paint and seals in perfect condition. Will order again, thanks.
Kosmic –
These cans are great for ammo AND anything you want a good steel waterproof container for. Great gift idea!!! There will always be an empty at “the ready” in my house.
lean2me –
Arrived in excellent shape, perfect fit for 1000 rounds of loose .223 Remington ammo
Will –
It’s been said before, but why mess with old banged up cans with musty gaskets when these brand new cans are reasonable and the service from BulkAmmo is fast and efficient? These cans meet all my expectations
Alan –
Great service and fast delivery. Ammo box is great. In case anyone is wondering, the 50 cal ammo can will hold 1040 rounds of Independence 5.56 ammo in 20 round boxes plus another 20 loose rounds.
Harl –
Everyone needs em….
Kenneth –
Excellent service and the ammo cans are great!! Soon to get some more. Thanks
Injun-1 –
Ordered one to see if it was worth the price. Very impressed with the quick delivery, excellent packing and construction. Will be buying more in the future.
Brad –
Again Bulk Ammo delivery was fast. Product was new as advertised.
jason –
Great Ammo Can perfect condition just as they look brand new. Recomend this product if you want to store ammo in a place that may be damp. This box will keep it dry for sure.
Tim (Thunder) –
Took a chance with all the good reviews ordered four, well, Great Ammo Can perfect condition. Bulk Ammo has come through again!!!!!! Going to order some more,,,
Kyle –
The cans are made by BLACKHAWK! which is a good brand. Deffenatly Mil-spec cans. Mine will fit 1,000 rounds of 5.56 you could probably fit around 1,100 if you tried (loose pack).
Joeway –
Great can for the money. Top seal is nice and tight. 1st. time buying from bulkammo and it was a pleasant surprise. Will be back for more.
Richard –
Great product as advertised top seals up nice and will definatly keep the ammo dry. Shipping was amazing received the order in three days will be back to shop here again….
topgoat –
The ammo cans were shipped fast!! Opened the box and I could still smell the fresh paint ! I stuffed them full of 9mm and placed them on the shelf via the handle.
No issues no flexing they open up and close perfect.
Billy J –
Again BA has come through with great customer service, prompt shipping and great product. Love this place, wife not so much. Venus Mars thing. Keep up great job!!!
John –
Bought 2 from BulkAmmo and was very pleased with condition. Added silica packs in with the ammo and will need to worry. Just bought 3 more.
chris –
The service was great and was shipped quick. Like it said new you could hear the air rush in when you open it the first time great product.
hampsje –
Fast delivery of the can, and has new paint job, but sloppy on the paint. Was over painted with dried dripping that are chipping and falling off. Just wish a little more time and care was taken when painting them.
Ray –
Ordered on a Monday night and reveived on Thursday. Great product, what you would expect from an ammo can, nothing fancy, rugged, with fresh paint. Great service from bulkammo as well.
Tony –
Those are very nice cans, BulkAmmo shipped quickly. Highly recommended.
Joe way –
Ordered this can and it was great so ordered more and now they lowered the price….smh.
Chris –
I’ve made several purchases from BulkAmmo.com now and each of them have been fantastic! Their service is amazing and their shipping is ridiculously fast. Even faster than some of the larger guys.
As for the ammo cans, they are fantastic! Just as advertised – true M2A1 US ammo cans repainted with high quality paint. When you read that you can actually hear the freshness of the can, that’s not an exaggeration.
The only thing I can fault the cans for is the stupid sticker on the side of them. As with any sticker you want to remove, they are a real pain. If you take your time and peel them back slowly, though, you’ll get it off with zero residue left behind.
I will continue doing business with BulkAmmo.com and may be placing another order for ammo cans very soon.
Thanks!!
Stacker –
Ordered 10 of these cans . The last three came with small chips of paint off them showing bare metal, which means these aren’t military quality.
Majormod –
Although the cans are well made and nice looking, they are about 1 inch smaller in width and height than the 50 cal cans I bought at an army surplus store 20 years ago. I could not get a 1000 rounds of boxed 5.56 ammo in the can, loose it would go in, but not boxed.
rockriverbob –
Purchased three different times and products from bulk ammo, a great experience, products came in record time and the ammo and ammo cans were just as presented, no problems and no sprung ammo can lids like you buy at the gun show! looking forward my next purchases, I like doing business with a company that takes your order, and is shipped, no excuses, no back order for months and months, just your order on the way! and remember the “ships from the factory” runaround? thanks a lot!
Steve –
These brand-new ammo cans are not much more expensive than the surplus cans I’m seeing at gun shows, and they’re made by the same company that makes them for the military. I ordered one as a test and liked it so much I ordered two more!
Gene –
Bought 4 on my first order. Fantastic and will buy more. I agree with the other comment about the sticker, but if you peel slowly and use a little “goo gone”, they clean up perfectly.
MK –
Great way to store ammo in a safe, compact way. I had my stash in rubbermaid containers, but they were too flimsy for the weight and not waterproof. These cans are a great deal too!
Thomas –
I have now ordered multiple times from Bulk Ammo, and the ease and promptness are no fluke, this company is just consistently on the ball!
Now here is my only complaint, and it’s with FedEx. They do not scan the package when it arrives at certain destinations and it looks as though it is stuck at the warehouse…I don’t want my ammo picked up by someone else and I keep tabs on the tracking, but Fedex just doesn’t keep up with it. Nothing to do with the great company Of BulkAmmo.com, just FedUp.
James –
It is a solid military style can that is air tight. The down side is the extremely poor paint job. It’s a weird color of green. Looks foreign in origin. It will do the job of storing your ammo.
Matt –
I purchased 4 of the M2A1 Ammo cans last week. They were ordered Monday night and were delivered on Thursday. These were brands new ammo cans the exact same as the surplus cans I already have. I compared them to other sites who offered surplus at a slighly higher price. I chose BulkAmmo.com and have not been disappointed. They will be my first stop for ammo to fill those cans. Thanks again BulkAmmo.com.
Howard –
Ordered two of these and quickly ordered four more after inspection. My experience with Bulk Ammo over several orders has been 100% positive and i wish them continued sucess.
Joshua –
I had a great experience with bulkammo shipping, I ordered Monday 9-23-13 and i arrived today! 9-25-13. Thanks guys will be buying here again very soon!!!
sham-man –
Best can I own…after my re-paint over the dip job as standard issue. No dents and great seal. Will be ordering more.
Taylor –
These are in great shape, no dents, new paint, latch is nice and tight, and the seal looks excellent. I bought 2 to start, I’m buying at least 3 more.
Charles –
Can is nice , it smells of new paint when opened, good rubber seal on lid, good quality can.
Popawoody –
As others here have noted, they are first class “Mil spec” M2A1 cans. They’re freshly painted, inside and out, so if you plan on storing food in them, you’ll want to air them out thoroughly and seal the food in vacuum bags. Ammunition doesn’t care about paint fumes, though. The lid seals seem very good. I’ve tested two of them and they’re completely watertight down to at least a meter, even after 24 hours. Despite this, for long term storage I still vacuum seal the ammunition in plastic bags with desiccant packs.
I should point out that, while Bulk Ammo’s price on these is still reasonable, their price has risen several dollars over the past couple of years. If there’s a message here, it’s probably that you should buy them now if you need them. The price is not going to get any lower.
Villanovaj2001 –
I am happy with the ammo cans…just a little surprised it took a week to have them delivered…I hope its a few days faster next time from UPS….I will order again from Bulk Ammo…they packaged them excellent ! Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase…Have a great day;)
Demetric –
I recently purchased 4 of these cans. They are solid military style cans that are air tight. You cant beat it with a stick.
David –
I ordered 6 of these cans taking the chance that they would be ok. I was pleasantly suprised when they exceeded my expectations in quality and appearance. Now I’m sorry I didn’t order more!
dan –
Ordered five last week when they were on sale. Wish I would have got more. Great metal cans. Thanks again bulk ammo for the deal. You’ve got a customer for life with all the great deals.
DG –
Very good ammo cans. Better than what I’ve gotten from other sellers, and at a fair price.
Jay –
High quality, couldn’t of asked for more!
HK45fan –
Picked these up and they are a nice buy to protect your ammo. Just watch what you say. The delivery lady watched me open them up and I said nice cans! I think she thought I was hitting on her.
Aaron –
I ordered this item on a Thursday and on that Saturday it arrived. Wow! Brand new, looked great, and was beyond my expectations. I will definitely be ordering from bulkammo.com again.
Abram –
Excellent quality and brand new. Thanks Bulk Ammo
Gig –
These .50 cal ammo cans are mil spec in every way. They were a little stiff to open and close when first arrived, but loosened up perfectly after a few trips to the range. Very heavy duty and water tight. Highly recommended.
Shooter –
My 3 cans arrived within the promised time, packaging was very good (box of 500 .22lr was taped insided), the paint is fresh, they seal perfectly, and are made the way things used to be, to last! One of the best buys I’ve ever made. Guys here are right, if you buy ammo and don’t shoot it all out the same day, protect it by puttin’ it inside one of these. You ready to go shooting, grab your can and go! no more looking for a plastic bag to put your stuff in. I strongly recommend them.
jmarz –
these things are the real deal folks. all steel, brand new nice rubber seals, the handle/clasp closes very tight and secure. holds 1000 rounds of 9mm and or .45 acp in the boxes or twice that much loose. I’ll be ordering a few more of these !!!
Doug –
I purchased five and I intend on buying more. I haven’t found anything better to store ammo in than mil-spec ammo cans.
The only thing I did not care for was the stuck on labels on every can. I found that a hair dryer a little wd-40 and a few minutes took care of that.
I am very happy with bulkammo.com both their service and their prices.
Ray –
Perfect.
Robert –
Good ammo can adequate paint job, Seals well, didn’t get killed on the shipping.
Thanks Bulkammo.com!
RICK –
These come in new condition. I label and store all my different calibers of ammo in these cans so I can just grab and go if necessary. Great ammo cans and good quality at a good price.
Kdog –
They look great and wished I had picked up more, great price for new.
wayne –
This ammo can is perfect. I was somewhat surprised that for the price it was so well made. It is sturdy heavy gauge metal, the handles and clasps are strong and secure, and the price just can’t be beat.
While I don’t use it for 50 cal ammo, it works fine for my 1200 rounds of .357 sig ammo. It is the real McCoy.
Clement –
I purchased 2 of these. They were in perfect condition and the price was great. If you buy ammo in bulk, you really do need to store it properly. In order to store it properly, you need sealed ammo cans. I recommend buying these because they are in perfect condition and I was completely satisfied with my purchase.
Christopher –
I just received 6 of these in the mail, and am very pleased.
A few details that aren’t mentioned in the description which I think potential consumers would find helpful:
It is the Blackhawk Sportster Ammo Can (M2A1), measuring in at approximately 11″L x 5.75″W x 7″H.
When it says “new”, it really means “you-will-need-to-pry-it-open-new”. You will hear an audible escape of air upon opening, and be wafted by the aroma of fresh paint. You may notice a bit of a rough edge from paint that stuck the lid and ammo can together, but this does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the ammo can one bit. Simply scrape it away with your fingernail.
It’s got a good, tight, waterproof seal lining the inside lip of the lid, just as any other ammo can made for the military.
Great bargain as is, even better if you can catch it on sale (like I did). Snatch some up when you can and safely store your excess bulk for longer periods of time.
brynt –
bought since were on sale and very very satisfied brand spanking new very good product from an even better company!
Rick –
This was great buy and a great experience! Even with shipping I was able to get the exact same box I got at the local Surplus for $6 a box less.
Rodney –
Bought the case of 12. Awesome price per can. Shipping was about 1/3 of total cost to the left coast. Super fast shipping in 4 days. Seals were excellent. Over half the cans were under vacuum, proving the seals are perfect. Would not hesitate in buying from Bulk Ammo again.
Johnny two guns –
I bought several ammo cans and received them in the summer. It has been very cold for several days. I grabbed one of the cans to put some 45 ACP away and the lid was very difficult to open. It turns out the cans are airtight and cold weather caused the can to develop a vacuum. I put steady pressure pulling the lid open and could hear air slowly rushing in. After 30 seconds or so the can finally open. The cans appear to be well made and will keep your ammo safe and dry!
Jose –
This ammo can is perfect.
JeremyE –
Definitely as advertised. Solid built, mil-spec .50 Cal ammo can.
Fatdada221 –
I bought both 50 and 30 cal cans these are strong and sturdy and like Christopher said tight seal and fresh paint.
I bought some new cans from somewhere else and they were made of thin metal would not attempt to stand on those. These you can stand on with no worries, not though I would stand on mine. Ordered these twice not and when my Christmas credit cards a re-paid will order some more
Deafab –
I bought 7 of these for Christmas gifts for friends, that are limited to 20 exchanges. A couple I exchanges at parties and they were the greatest hit of all!!! Very well built and appear to be right off the line. A++ on your bang for the buck
Dan –
Seals were tight. Vacuum was strong on all cases especially after traveling to Colorado. It’s a great feeling knowing my ammo is safe from the elements not only while storming but while in use on the range.
PEPE –
Almost new and great to carry ammo to the range.
Larry –
Perfect! Love the super fast shipping!!
Spencer –
The first time I opened this up it was sealed tight and were under vacuum. I use them to keep all my ammo in now. love them
Thomas –
I ordered two of the 50 cal cans to hold my 7.62×39 ammo. One can will hold 36 boxes (of 20) with room to spare at the top. One thing other reviews don’t mention is, these cans are so new that when you open them the smell of the fresh paint on the inside will knock you over. That’s a good thing, because it shows just how well these things seal. You can’t beat this price and you can’t beat this can for all sorts of storage of things you don’t want humidity to get to. They make great gifts too. I am thinking of getting one for my son to use for hauling around LiPo batteries for RC planes.
Donald –
I purchased this to store and transport my ammunition, and use them for silly things like tool storage on my trailer, flammable fluid storage like cans of spray paint and lighter fluid. They are a cheep, easy way to keep your stuff separate and safe from general harm. Get some !
Anthony –
I ordered five 50 Cal Cans as my first order through Bulkammo. They were packaged well and I received them in three days. Rubber seals where good with no dings, dents or scratches on the cans. Will do business again with Bulkammo in the future.
Southern D –
I bought 2 of these ammo cans because I was tired of cardboard boxes covered in plastic piling up every time I restocked my ammo inventory. First off, these ammo cans are very well manufactured. The seals are air tight. I fit 22 boxes of Federal 7.62×51 in one of these. They’re so great I had to order 5 more to separate all of my ammo by caliber. Compared to other websites and stores, this price is a steal of a deal.
Lkw –
Can arrived in perfect condition in two days. Seal is great. I would recommend it for long term storage.
New Nick –
Awesome can. Super Air tight! Very affordable. I did’nt see these here until after i spent more than double for one at a local joint in Maryland.
Edward –
Love the 50cal ammo case, you can keep anything in it!!! Works great as an ice cooler… if you didn’t already know, You’re welcome. You’re gonna love it.
Paul –
Took only 3 days from submitting order to receiving. Durable, sturdy and a tight sealed.
Anthony –
Will be buying more. Great stuff, excellent price! Love this company and enjoy spending my money on them. It’s all about quality and class, and bulk ammo has both!
tim –
I have ordered over twenty of these over time and they have all been in excellent condition. Aside from the obvious ammo storage these make great fishing tackle box, First Aid kits, travel tool kits and lots more applications – adapted or as-is they make great gifts!
Sean S. –
Purchased 12 ammo cans Wednesday evening and received Friday morning. Talk about fast shipping! Ammo cans were exactly as described. Will buy again.
Robert –
I ordered two of these and they are in good shape and seals air tight.
My only complaint is that these things stunk from high heaven. I don’t know if they were shipped in from another country and had to be fumigated for bugs or what but the chemical odor in these things make them un-usable, I opened them up and aired them out for a week then washed them and the odor is still there (not quite as bad but still strong). I’ll put them back outside for two or three weeks and see if it gets any better.
MrPSki –
I bought two of these, again based on the reviews and I figured I could deal with the smell. Mine at least, had no real bad odor at all. A couple of days sitting open and now they are used for ammo storage. I got 960 rounds of 5.56 in 20-round boxes, that is, 48 of them, in one of these cans packed full just right. I live in AZ and I know they will store just fine, I have ammo that is 20 years old that still shoots just fine. Even on sale I think they are still a little pricey but I find them locally for about a buck more.
Popawoody –
I’ve ordered a dozen of these cans over the past year from Bulk Ammo. They’re new manufacture and yes, they smell like it. The odor is new paint, trapped inside an airtight metal can. I’ll grant you, the paint odor is a bit overwhelming at first, but it really does dissipate pretty quickly. A week or so left unsealed and it’s only mildly detectable. The last batch of four I got a month ago I sealed up immediately with 7.62 ammo. I just opened one of them to check and the odor is completely gone.
I’ve purchased some military surplus M2A1 cans in the past and you never know what’s been trapped inside those things as they make their way to the civilian market. Believe me, “new paint smell” is much better than “what the hell died in here?” smell.
The paint smell might be a problem if you’re planning on storing food, but then you really want to be sealing food in something airtight before you store it anyway. Personally, I use vacuum sealed storage bags for food with desiccant and an oxygen absorber like Oxy-Sorb, then put those in the M2SA1 cans. It makes for a particularly pest-proof and convenient means of small food storage.
The truth is, for long term storage, I vacuum seal ammunition with desiccant before placing it in ammo cans like these. Moisture is the biggest killer of ammunition and these M2A1 cans have very good seals and are airtight. That means they’ll seal humidity IN just as well as out. If your goal is long shelf life, consider using desiccant. Vacuum packing absolutely is not necessary, but it’s cheap and easy and you’re assured that you’ve removed most of the possibly moisture-laden air. This will eliminate any condensation caused by wide temperature swings from affecting the ammunition.
A tip about desiccant: those little desiccant bags you get in your electronics have been absorbing moisture since they left the factory. You’ll want to “recharge” them in an oven before you use them. The manufactures of metal desiccant cans specify 350F for 3 hours. The larger desiccant bags, which are usually made of cotton, can also withstand that kind of heat. Most of the smaller desiccant bags are made of Tyvek. Be careful with these. Tyvek melts rapidly at 275F. These need to be recharged at 225F for a longer period. One manufacturer suggests up to 12 hours.
New, sealed 10 gram desiccant packs are between 25 and 50 cents each at Amazon. Cheap considering the price of ammo these days (even from Bulk Ammo).
I’m writing this review because I’m back on the web site ordering another batch of these cans. While the price has climbed a bit, they’re still a bargain. Highly recommended.
tmanplinker –
GREAT FAST SHIPPING GREAT PACKAGING BE BUYING MORE OF THESE AMMO CANS
James –
Ordered 2, loved them so much I just ordered 2 more! These are made in USA, brand new 50 cal ammo can. Again a great product!
Vinny –
I received (4) NEW perfect cans .No scratches , no strange markings , no odd colors or smells . I`m ordering (4) more . This price is so low I can`t afford not to buy them . Keeps everything very dry .
Mario Jr. –
Ordered on a Thursday night. Received them on Saturday.
No dents or scratch. Like Steve. I also had a strong odor. Set them outside with the lids open for about 4 hours. Smell gone, ammo went in. Slicker than snot.
TJDNC –
Shipped along with the rest of my order. The cans were new and a great deal. i pay less for these cans than I do for surplus cans locally. The service with Bulk Ammo is always top notch and quick.
Ed –
Ordered on Wednesday, got them on Friday. Look awesome, seals really well too.
NestledInTheNicolet –
When reading these reviews, one after another, the input was a “strong” “odor”, etc.. I was prepared for an unpleasant or disgusting type of smell whey prying open the cans, like an outhouse. To my pleasant surprise, the smell was paint! Anybody who has used paint or been in a situation where others applied paint for them, knows paint smell dissipates rapidly and is not an offensive or “strong” “odor”.
As for the cans, they are much smaller than I thought they would have been. I have some of the plastic ones and these are much smaller than those. They are very high quality, much better quality than the plastic ones. They are also very tightly sealed and durable. You could bury them under water and never have a leak for decades. A larger size, similar to the plastic ones, would be ideal. They are a good deal and I recommend highly.
JT3 –
Just got my first order of 6 of these and I’m very impressed. My only real issue (albeit minor) with them was the manufacturer’s label stuck to the outside of the can. I tried to peel the label, but it ripped leaving the paper adhesive. I used WD40 which worked but left oily patches on the can.
Yes they smell from the paint; nothing overwhelming. This paint is flat/non-reflective; different than older cans which had a hard, glossy finish. Overall, a great item and I’ll be ordering another 12 soon.
Donald –
I have 9 of these now and I use them for everything from flammable liquid storage to range cans and a cleaning kit. great to have, the more of these you have, the more uses you will find for them. I think they are a little over priced, but even at this price, they are still about the same as a used can at the local surplus shop. Trust me, buy 4, you will use them. then come back for more.
Tom –
Bought nine. Ammo cans sat on my doorstep for some hours at 40-degree temps. Brought them in cold and yes, there was definitely a vacuum in each and every can as described by others.
Some describe a horrible paint smell in the new cans. Yes, there was a very minimal odor one would expect from newly painted cans, but it was completely inoffensive. Left the cans open to air out in a 68-degree room overnight and by morning, no odor at all.
Were there some paint drips? Yes. Objectionable? No. Was the MADE IN USA Blackhawk sticker nearly impossible to remove? Yes. I didn’t even try after the first one.
Now my experience may well be different from many others, but I found no offensive paint odor. The minor drips and labeling? So what? I’m not displaying these in a museum. They go in my safe, each with a packet of home-made desiccant (lots of examples on YouTube). Even if left out, I don’t find their appearance in any way offensive.
Quality: These are the real deal. I have about four “authentic” .50 cal surplus ammo boxes. I found the seal and rubber gasket on BulkAmmo’s superior to the Army surplus stuff. I mean, heck, they’re brand new! Same weight and quality as the Army stuff. The seals on these are TIGHT! You have to really clamp these guys down. Have what I would call a very light talc on them. Some guys recommend a thin coat of oil on the seals. Don’t think they need any, but YMMV. Have filled seven of the nine with ammo and intend to use the other two to organize my out of control menagerie of gun cleaning stuff (cleaners, rods, oils, patches, brushes, jags, etc.)
Would buy more of these again in a heartbeat. FYI, a local HUGE gun store by me sells the same cans for 19.95. This price is a steal and ultra-fast shipping by BulkAmmo as usual.
Steve –
Some people mentioned a smell, but mine was pretty mild/not too offensive when it shipped. I left it open for about an hour or so outside just to air it out. Have not tested it in water or anything, but it looks more promising than my plastic cans that bulge when I pick it up.
Claude –
These are top-notch quality cans. Brand new, seal great. I’ve bought several and will probably get more. And fast shipping! Put in my last order on Friday morning and got ’em Saturday afternoon- wow! Good folks to deal with
Heather –
Very quick delivery of only two days! Brand new cans with a perfect seal. I would buy these again and have recommended them to others.
JOHN –
I ordered 4 of the 50 Cal cans and these are by far the best I have found and the price is great also …they where at my door in two days from the time I placed the order …bulk ammo is very cool to deal with and very fast shipment ……
cbbell68 –
Awesome
TheVerve –
These are surplus cans from Blackhawk. Decent value for nice clean unmolested cans. If you buy 12 you’ll get them in the c/b case packed nicely from the supplier. Fast shipping as always. Thanx B.A. for another pleasant transaction.
zachary –
Very heavy and high quality ammo can. Very tight seal and clamp on lid. I fit 800 rounds of 7.62x39mm in this comfortably. Some paint chips fell off when I broke the seal open seems it was spray painted after closing almost, but not a bad thing. Would recommend and will buy more in future.
Bobbie –
Great quality, heavy duty ammo can. Good seal. Awesome purchase.
Review by Bob –
Couldn’t be happier with the cans! Paint smell (not much) big deal! Not enough to get excited about. Seals are super tight! Happy with the purchase. Will definitely buy more in the future! Thanks much.
Johnny Molassadas –
These are great cans. Bulkammo.com is impressive, I had an issue with my card (due to a small, overlooked discrepancy) and when I called, someone answered and walked me through the billing process, that may not sound like a big deal but it was on a Saturday and part of a holiday weekend! Awesome company! Thanks Bulkammo!!!!!!
vinny –
good solid product that will last for many years, I will purchase more of these, thanks
Heymisterb –
Ordered on Thursday and delivered Friday. However, Fed-X delivered to wrong house. (Not Bulkammo.Com’s fault). Never expected delivery that quick. The best. Maybe Bulkammo should consider a different delivery method. I found the location of the missed delivery myself. Shame on Fed-X.
John –
This product came in the mail within a week and was exactly what I wanted to store my ammo. Thanks so much. I would recommend this to anyone looking for convenient storage.
rick –
what do you say? it’s what i needed, what I ordered, and what I received the next day. If you call, the guy answers the phone, if you ask a question you get an answer. They do smell of paint,…there painted and new. I filled em and have not gone back to smell,em. I recommend this site.
David –
Great price and delivered in 2 days. Love this site
Ken H –
These Ammo cans are the actual military cans. New condition with a perfect seal. I have purchased several, at least one for each caliber.
mike. S –
Quality cans. Would buy again
Achor –
I have several of these cans for storing ammo and other stuff to be kept dry and safe. They are the perfect size for ammo and other small items. Yes, I will buy more as the need arises.
Cal –
These cans are pretty standard- well made and reliable. The two points I have are: 1) The sticker is a pain to get off, but that has nothing to do with reliability or quality, 2) I’ve now found the same can for less than half the price, which is discouraging but still obviously has nothing to do with reliability or quality.
Customer service was probably the best I have ever dealt with!
CC –
Brand new, seals fresh and new.

I bought 4 for ammo. I loved them so much I bought 9 more, these seal amazing, they are built solid. I plan to use one to keep batteries…Also, they stack extremely well.

Very pleased

This was shipped FedEx and they delivered to the wrong address and it was a very very long process but this guy there his name is Ronnie, if you customers every have a problem with your order, this is the guy to talk to. I had a $300 order and he took care for me. FedEx said they put it at my backdoor and he didn’t. Anyway Ronnie is the best, just because of the outcome of this guy’s customer service I spent another $800 with this company!! If you ever want to buy form them I can say you will be in good hands with Ronnie!

This can holds 2000+ rounds of 9mm Luger and is quite sturdy! I recommend this can!
David –
Better than any army surplus can, well worth the money. Will order more

I bought 12 cans and rec’d them in 3 days filled them up with reloads and ordered 12 more. Local gun show sell the “used” ones for $15 and these are new, yes they have paint runs and smell like fresh paint but by the time they were full the smell was gone, if the paint imperfections are a problem and smell is an issue by the plastic formaldahyde ones these are great and last
Deon –
Just got mine a few days ago, shipping was extremely fast! The can smelled like paint as most of the reviewers said but what a great ammo can, reliably built, fits ammo like a dream, and they are relatively inexpensive, bought 6, I’ll be getting 6 more soon. Thanks Bulk Ammo!
Col. MAK –
I prefer this style of ammo can for it’s reliability, performance and cost. In my opinion it’s the best you can do for the cost.
Albert –
What more can be said about an ammo can? It’s solid, it’s got a fresh rubber seal and had the new feeling when received. Would not hesitate to order more when I needed.
Joe –
Ordered this to hold the majority of my ammunition; holds nearly 2000 rounds of 9mm, even in original packaging.
JC –
Heavy duty, military grade.
Ransom –
Have a good 30 of these cans now and I like them a lot. They seal well unlike some surplus. They also stack very nicely as I have them around 8 cans high at the moment.
David –
Excellent Value For The Price

I use these cans for all kinds of silly things, not the least of them is keeping my ammo dry and sorted. I use them for tools and little bits and pieces in my car and my van. i usually carry a quart of oil for the engine and the auto trans in my old crash test dummy truck, and these cans seal so tightly that i have no worries about spillage. i use them for flammables in my house, and with a small lock adaptor kit, i keep valuables and important papers safe in one i have bolted to the underside of a piece of furniture. With a bit of a imagination, there is no end to the uses. buy a few, and buy more as you find more and more uses.

Brown santa came today from bulkammo.com. My 1000 rounds of .45 ACP fits perfectly inside this can. Highly recommended. Said 3 days for shipping was here in 2 days! Wow! Will be purchasing from bulkammo.com again. Thanks for the great deal.
JBH3 –
Cans are as new. Seals are super tight. I got the 5 can special and will likely need to repeat that order. Arrived earlier than promised in perfect condition. Pricing was excellent. What more can I say? It’s an ammo can. It hold ammo really, really well!
GC. Kern –
Aftermarket ammo can as expected, works like the real deal.
Walter –
Great product at a great price. I opted for purchasing more to get the best price BulkAmmo offers. As these are new they are in great shape and cost less then half of what I was finding them for from companies selling military surplus. Water tight and great for storing more then just ammo.
Michael –
Awesome price and the best ammo can you can buy for the home. Also I have to give bulkammo lots of credit for putting these guys on sale for us. When I found out they were only $8 bucks, I jumped real quick. Thank you bulkammo for doing that.
JAMES –
I ordered a few of these and I am quite happy with them. frees up a little room in my safe as far as ammo storage goes. In case anybody was wondering a thousand rounds of 5.56 by 45 NATO does just fit. And if you stack them right you can fit 240 12 gauge 2 3/4 in it. I intend to order more.
Pete –
I bought this ammo can with 1000 rounds of 5.56, and they fit perfectly!! Perfect combo!
Bob –
The fit and finish is there, good choice for storing my ammo from the elements.

BulkAmmo is a good place to buy ammo. I’ve been buying from them for many years. In the past, ammo cans sent to me were of the “Blackhawk” brand, as pictured here. The past two times I’ve ordered cans, they have not been Blackhawk cans, which is a bit misleading based on the picture Bulk Ammo is using for these. I’ve contacted Bulk Ammo twice about this and confirmed that they don’t know which cans are being sent out as it varies over time. The past two times the cans have come in, I’ve had to clean them off because there was a bunch of excess paint, paint rubbed raw in several areas of the can, proud weld joints, etc. I guess they work for keeping the ammo sealed but when purchasing a new item, I expect it to arrive in new condition, not looking like used military surplus. So, to some folks these may be acceptable for the money, especially in time’s like these, but to me I just wanted some cans to match my others that didn’t look like defect cans from a military purchase.
Cameron –
Love the ammo can. It’s heavy and rugged like I wanted it to be. Will be ordering more soon.
Mad Man Michael –
I have always purchased the used 50 cal cans, so nice to see some new ones for a change. I have about 40 of these (new and used) – these are mostly stackable and great for storage. I don’t stack more than two high. These are roomy, good for most all calibers of ammo – boxed or in bags.
Richard –
Reminds me of my childhood… my dad was in the military. So traditional.
James –
I chose this metal ammo can over plastic one. Shipping was a little pricy but it came quick. Ammo cans look great, rugged, mil spec, and water proof. They’ll be perfect to replace the old rusting ww2 ammo cans I have storing ammo.
Matt –
We ended up ordering several of these when they were on sale. Bulk Ammo shipping was great – everything arrived on time and with zero damage. The packages were well protected and evenly spread. The ammo cans are well constructed and seal well.
