This 17 HMR cartridge from CCI provides unique velocity and bullet expansion for small game hunting. Its muzzle velocity is 2650 feet per second, and its Varmint Tip bullet is designed for rapid expansion upon impact. These attributes make this CCI offering a great option for taking squirrel, prairie dogs, groundhogs, or other small game.
Manufactured by CCI out of Lewiston, Idaho, this 17 HMR cartridge is available in a 200 round box. One note from CCI about this particular product: for use in any firearm other than a 17 HMR rifle platform, be sure to first run it by your firearm manufacturer.
Groundhog Sniper –
I have been using this ammo on groundhogs this spring. Very accurate and good to about 250 yards.
Ironman –
Shot 1000 rds. prairie dog hunting, worked great in the new Savage rifle. 250 yd. shots in cross wind.
Prairie pest exterminater –
There is no better ammunition to shoot in the new Savage rifle.

Just came home from my first trip to the range with my new Savage 17hmr. After sighting it in was able to consistently group less than 1 inch with a 5 shot ragged hole in limited time. Ordering another box and looking forward to my next outing!

I shoot this of course from my Savage A/17. My rifle and I love this ammo
You know I may not be the most profitable customer BA ever had but I will say that I have to be among the most loyal. Because of what they sell and the way they sell it has earned my business for life.
Thanks again Bulk A

Bought this for the A17 Savage of course and went through 100 rounds with a 10% failure rate. Not impressed.
44MAG –
Coupled with my A17 rifle there have been “zero” misfires or ejection issues. Love the round and the gun.
Holmes –
In the Savage rifle it can not be beat. For prairie dogs it is very important to clean your rifle after a day on the prairie. 250 yard shoots are good.

Neck separation of brass caused some grief. I have never seen anything like it. Failure to eject! People this is rimfire ammo being slammed into by the following round. Imagine the injuries that could have happened: fingers blown off and so on. There may be litigation in the future in the form of a class action lawsuit.
